As a long time Marvel fan, I was very excited when the Disney marketing team asked me to join their junket to shoot portraits of the cast (Devery Jacobs, Chaske Spencer) as well as the director Sydney Freeland. I was asked to come up with some visual references inspired by the trailers for the show… I immediately knew we needed to shoot some of these on film for gritty nature of the show. As with the nature of any Junket, we only got about 15 minutes with each talent but that was plenty of time to pull off 4 unique lighting setups on both digital and film.
